A peek behind the scenes at Sugar Lake Lodge reveals 3 generations of resort owner/operators. If you ask current owner Fred Bobich what he learned from grandfather Alex Ruttger and uncle Jack Ruttger about pleasing guests, his answer would be the importance of serving quality food.
The talented staff at Sugar Lake Lodge, led by executive chef Kim Fuller, never stops evaluating the menu and looking for new recipes and ideas. Our menus feature dishes with fresh and often local ingredients. We believe that quality trumps quantity. Translated: you may find fewer items on our menu, but they are great items, and they will make you want to come back for more.
The Lodge Dining Room
The lodge dining room is located in the Main Lodge with beautiful lake views. The Lodge Dining Room serves as a location for special events when reserved through our Conference & Events Planning Department. If work brings you to Sugar Lake, you can rest assured that you and your colleagues will enjoy menus specially designed to foster conversation and networking while keeping energy levels high.
