The sparkling aquamarine waters of Sugar Lake and pristine Northwoods backdrop make Sugar Lake Lodge one of the top destination wedding venues in Minnesota. Our breathtaking outdoor event spaces and spacious indoor event rooms can accommodate large groups with ease, and our staff make sure you have everything you need on your big day.
We work directly with you on setting a date, room blocks, menu and bar selection, and all the other small, but important details! We offer in-house catering options or are happy to recommend experienced, local vendors who can provide everything you need to make your celebration personal and special to you.
Note: While we’d love to open our doors 24x7x365 to as many wedding events as possible, our wedding venue is only able to accommodate destination wedding events. We are not open to requests for hosting local wedding events.
Maple Room
Perfect for intimate rehearsal dinners and bridal lunches prior to your ceremony or for smaller ceremonies and receptions.
Lodge Dining Room
Open for select private events, this intimate dining area has knotty pine accents and unobstructed, panoramic views of Sugar Lake.
Lakeside Garden
Overlooking Sugar Lake, this lush grass lawn and flower garden provide a spectacular backdrop for a ceremony.
The Alexander Room
This banquet reception space features knotty pine accents, sunset views of Sugar Lake, and a walkout patio with a picturesque garden.

Accommodations
Select from three types of accommodations at various nightly rates: lodge rooms and suites, lakeside cabins (open seasonally), and golf course villas.
Our various accommodations can sleep from 2–6 persons per unit. Most units include a fieldstone gas fireplace, kitchen, living and dining area, and furnished walk-out patio or deck. Please inform us of any guests desiring handicap-accessible lodging when reserving your room block.

In-House Catering
Executive Chef Heidi and her team prepare extensive meals that include hot and cold appetizers and hearty entrées. We use fresh, local ingredients and a creative touch to prepare meals for weekend destination weddings.
